About Sam

Sam is an accomplished comedian, writer, improviser, actor, director and musician, having performed throughout New Zealand for over ten years.

Sam was a national finalist in the 2011 Raw Comedy Quest. He writes for TV3′s 7 Days, and performs regularly in the Wellington stand-up scene.

Nah, Jokes!

My New Year’s Resolution this year is 1920 x 1080. My real resolution is to write 10 jokes a day. It’s a tip Drew Carey suggested in a book I once read. Although the 10 jokes may not be fantastic, the shear number of jokes means you’re bound to get material that can be moulded and shaped into gold. I’m 25 days into the year, and have already amassed 250 jokes.

The Wilde Bunch

The sitcom I’ve been working on received funding from NZ On Air in the December application round. It stars Tammy Davis and Oliver Driver. We’re currently storylining, and will begin scripting soon. The aim at this stage is to film in May, and TV3 will air it sometime after that.
